2.5.1.6. Check of level of cooling liquid

Level of cooling liquid out of maintenance should be checked also before each rather long trip. For a dolivka, even in warm season, apply only mix from antifreeze and bezyzvestkovy, pure.
Prevention

To continue a trip, it is possible also, especially in the summer, to add clear water. In this case it is necessary to introduce amendments in composition of cooling liquid of a radiator as soon as possible.

 The 6-cylinder or 4-cylinder engine with the conditioner: level of cooling liquid at the cold engine (temperature of cooling liquid about +20 °C) has to reach an interface between a black top part and the transparent lower part of a compensation tank.

The 4-cylinder engine without conditioner: level of cooling liquid at the cold engine (temperature of cooling liquid about +20 °C) has to reach a mark in a bulk branch pipe of a radiator.

Add cooling liquid if its level too low.

To avoid damage of the engine, add cooling liquid at the cold engine.

Prevention

Carefully open a locking cover at the hot engine. There is a danger to be scalded! When opening over a locking cover lay a rag. Open a locking cover whenever possible only in that case when temperature of cooling liquid falls below 90 °C.

 When opening at first slightly raise a locking cover to remove excessive pressure. After that turn further a cover and remove it.

Perform visual inspection if the level of cooling liquid decreases for short time.
