Prevention
At work under the car if there is no automobile elevator with a platform, establish it on two or four steady goats. Do not work at all under the car if it is insufficiently insured or if it is propped up only by an automobile jack. It is life-threatening!
Raise the car only in not loaded state.
Using rubber or wooden laying, it is possible to avoid when raising the car of damage of the basis of its body. It is impossible to raise or prop up the car under the engine or under the transmission at all.
Record wedges the wheels standing on a basic surface against their rolling forward or back. Do not rely on the parking brake system as at some repair work it has to be stirred up.
Lift the car only on a plain rigid surface.
Put the car on a false trestle so that respectively one his leg sideways stuck out outside.
Working with the screw-driver as the lever, remove the protection cover on a landing opening for an automobile jack.
Carefully implant an adjusting finger of an automobile jack into a plug-in pipe of a longeron.
Establish an automobile jack vertically even at a bias.
Raise the forward bridge ahead, having installed the elevator on a cross-piece of a frame (6) (see rice. The car elevator in a workshop).
Raise the car behind, having installed the elevator on a crosspiece of the back bridge (see rice. The car elevator in a workshop).
Reference points ahead and behind are below plug-in pipes for an onboard automobile jack and are supplied with ebonite shock-absorbers (see rice. The automobile elevator with a platform, false goats and the elevator of the car in a workshop).
Prevention
Points of support on longerons can be used also for side rise with use of the elevator of the car in a workshop. At the same time establish an automobile jack under ebonite shock-absorbers.
