13.1.10. Traction relay
At malfunction of the traction relay the gear wheel in a starter is not attracted to a gear rim of a flywheel. Because of it the starter cannot turn an engine shaft. This defect meets more often than the engine of a starter fails.
Check in the established state
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Switch off transfer, install the gear shifting lever in neutral situation. |
| 2. Quickly to a zashuntiruyta an auxiliary wire on a starter the plug 30 (a thick positive wire) and the plug 50 (the thin wire going to the lock switch of ignition and devices), the gear wheel of the drive of a starter has to move quickly forward and put a starter in action. If it does not occur, unscrew a starter and replace the relay. |

Removal
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Remove a starter and repeat its check in the removed situation with use of the rechargeable battery. As the bringing line to the plug 50 of a starter the wire is suitable the rechargeable battery for connection of a starter to auxiliary (out of the car). If the gear wheel quickly moves forward, without starting a starter, repair a starter in auto repair shop. |
| 2. If the gear wheel does not move quickly forward, unscrew and replace the traction relay. |

Installation
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
|
1. Seal a dividing seam (F) with suitable sealing material. |
| 2. Suspend the traction relay on the bifurcate lever in a starter, then screw the traction relay. |
| 3. Screw the wire going to the traction relay. |
| 4. Again check a starter as it is described above. |
| 5. Establish a starter. |
