13.1.16. Radio receiver

51. Dismantling keys A2. Radio receiver

Removal

Prevention

The receivers which both are serially installed, and acquired in trade have code number. It protects the receiver from unauthorized use. After turning on of the radio receiver it is necessary to enter code number according to the maintenance instruction, otherwise it cannot be included. If the radio receiver is coded, then define a radio code before a detachment of wires from plugs of the rechargeable battery or its removal. If the code is unknown, then only the manufacturer can put the automobile receiver into operation. Individual code number is specified in the passport of the radio receiver. This passport should not be stored in the car.

Instructions to additional installation of the radio receiver

Prevention

If the serial connecting wire is not applied, surely pay attention to that there were no loose uninsulated wires. Otherwise short circuit will lead to burn-out of a wire. In shops it is possible to get adapters for connection of the radio receiver.

Pay attention to that only the sets of elements which passed standard tests (throttles, condensers) were applied to suppression of hindrances (with the general permission to operation of the ABE vehicle). In trade especially for the Mercedes cars there are coordinated sets of elements for suppression of hindrances together with the installation guide.

Coordinate the radio receiver with the antenna. For this purpose adjust low-power mediumwave the transmitter approximately on 1400 kHz. If there is no transmitter, then it is possible to use the noise generator to control. Turn the small screw-driver the screw of coordination of the antenna (ahead at the left in the radio receiver case) until the best reception or the maximum level of noise is reached.

Prevention

At the same time turn the control screw at most only on 1/2 turns.
