8.6.2. Transmission

The transmission can be removed without removal of the engine. But in the majority a case removal is required only when it is necessary to replace the transmission, to restore or replace the coupling. As it is impossible to repair the transmission with application of handicraft house means, in it is necessary to address to auto repair shop, only removal of the unit is described below.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect a weight(s) wire from the plug of the rechargeable battery.
Prevention

At the same time the anticreeping code of radio is erased.


2. Cover with suitable sheet material a back wall of a motor compartment in order that when lowering the transmission not to damage the isolating rug.

Prevention

At cars with additional system of heating when lowering the transmission pay attention to that the hose with cooling liquid around a back wall of a motor compartment was not damaged (arrow).


3. Raise the car, prop up the transmission a special automobile jack (in auto repair shop) and wooden laying.
4. Remove the lower protective cover of a motor compartment.
5. Unscrew the engine shaft bearing on a back cover of the transmission (shooter).
6. Unscrew an arm (1) of a support of the engine on the basis of a frame of a body (arrow).
7. Remove system of production of exhaust gases. Unscrew the holder (2) on the check point (shooter). In advance note the provision of a lining plate compasses (describe a circle) that it could be established again later on the former place.
8. Unscrew the screen to the intermediate bearing of the driveshaft.
9. Weaken a tightening nut on cardan to a shaft.
10. Weaken, without unscrewing, bolts to the intermediate bearing of the driveshaft.
11. Unscrew the driveshaft at the check point. At the same time leave on cardan to a shaft a hinge disk.
12. Weaken unloading plugs in a hinge flange by means of a cylindrical core with a diameter of 10 mm and about 150 mm long.
13. Squeeze out the driveshaft so back as it allows the intermediate bearing and a tightening detail.
14. Separate the pipeline going to the distributive cylinder on the left side of hose connection (shooter). Collect the poured-out brake fluid. Close joints traffic jams.
15. Remove rods of forks of gear shifting from intermediate levers on a gear shifting mechanism arm, previously having wrung out safety brackets.
16. Unscrew bolts from a starter flange.
17. Unscrew all fixing bolts from a reducer on an intermediate flange. At the same time delete three top bolts in the last turn.
18. Unscrew the wire connecting the accumulator to the mass of the car.
19. Turn the transmission to the left, remove horizontally back and Take it from the coupling.
20. Lower the transmission.
Prevention

Lower the transmission only when the main shaft is taken out carefully from a clutch plate, differently the clutch plate can be damaged.


Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before installation check the coupling.
2. Check ease of the course of the bearing of the coupling of switching off of coupling. Grease the bearing, for example, with Liqui Moly V-320 lubricant. If before dismantling at inclusion of coupling noise in operation of the bearing of the coupling of switching off of coupling were heard, replace the bearing.
3. Clear and slightly grease with molybdenic paste or molybdenic raspylitelny lubricant maple a gear wreath of a main shaft, and also the aligning pins.
Prevention

Gear wreath of a nave of a clutch plate for a two-case flywheel отникелирован. Therefore the 2,2 / 2,8 l engines have no need to grease a gear wreath of a main shaft of the transmission.


4. Include the first transfer.
5. Raise, turn to the left and horizontally enter the transmission into the coupling. If at introduction the main shaft of the transmission is not recorded in a clutch plate, respectively, manually turn a main shaft behind in a flange for the driveshaft.
6. Screw the transmission on an intermediate flange, at the same time screw at the left below on the check point a wire of mass of the rechargeable battery.
Tightening moment:
Bolt of M 10 x 40 - 55 N. of m.
Bolt of M 10 x 45 - 55 N. of m.
Bolt of M 10 x 90 - 45 N. of m.
7. Hardly tighten a starter two bolts.  
8. Hang rods of forks of gear shifting on intermediate levers and record them safety brackets. At the same time squeeze spring clips, push a cut in a groove of a rod of a fork of gear shifting and record there.

Prevention

Use only safety brackets with curves (shooter). At assembly of a bracket have to enter gearing to guarantee a reliable support.


9. Attach the pipeline to the distributive cylinder.
10. As it is possible extend the driveshaft from the sliding detail and a priflantsuyta to the check point further. For this purpose raise the engine and the transmission by means of a garage jack and wooden laying a little.
11. Rigidly screw a back support of the engine with an arm on the check point.
12. Rigidly screw an engine support arm on a body basis frame.
13. Rigidly screw the intermediate bearing of the driveshaft.
14. Hardly tighten a tightening nut with m 35 N.' moment.
15. Hardly screw the screen for the intermediate bearing of the driveshaft.
16. Mount system of production of exhaust gases, at the same time check rubber rings for lack of porosity and damages.
17. Remove air from the drive of management of coupling.
18. Check gear shifting installation.
19. Establish the lower cover of a motor compartment.
20. Lower the car.
21. Extract sheet material from a motor compartment.
22. Connect a weight(s) wire to the plug of the rechargeable battery.
23. Determine time on hours.
24. Enter an anticreeping code of radio.

Adjustment

System of gear shifting

1-2. Rod of a fork of switching of the first and second transfer
3-4. Rod of a fork of switching of the third and fourth transfer
5-R. Rod of a fork of switching of the fifth transfer and transfer of a backing

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Install the transmission in the provision of idling (neutral situation).
2. Remove safety brackets, then unhook rods of forks of switching on intermediate levers.
1-2 = the intermediate lever for the first and second transfer;
3-4 = the intermediate lever for the third and fourth transfer;
5-R = the intermediate lever for the fifth transfer and transfer of a backing.
3. Enter a bolt clamp (A) into openings below on a gear shifting mechanism arm and by that fix three intermediate levers.
4. If it is required, make a bolt clamp by the specified sizes.
5. Rods of forks of gear shifting have to be squeezed out without tension on a bolt with the intermediate lever. Otherwise weaken a lock-nut and establish this guard of a fork of gear shifting at the corresponding length. Hardly tighten a lock-nut.
6. Record rods of forks of gear shifting (1) by safety brackets.

Prevention

It is possible to use only safety brackets with curves (shooter).


7. Take a bolt clamp.
8. Check functioning of system of gear shifting at the working engine. Transfers have to be established without jamming.
