8.1.16. Cable of management of gas (DD)
DIESEL ENGINE
Prevention
The cable is very sensitive to bends and therefore at installation demands the accurate address. The only easy bend can lead to its later breakage at operation of the car. Therefore cables which were earlier bent it is not necessary to establish.
Removal
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. 2,0 l engine: unhook a cable of management of gas (230) on the adjusting lever (208). For this purpose squeeze out the directing detail (240). |
| 2. 2,2 / 2,5 l engines: unhook a cable of management of gas on a spherical head of the directing lever. |
| 3. Squeeze a plastic spring clip (228) and pull out the hummock drive from a support (225). |
| 4. Dismantle a casing under the dashboard. |
| 5. Unhook fastening of the hummock drive (shooter) on the lever of a pedal of an accelerator (223). For this purpose unhook a returnable spring (235) and extend the holder (233/2) together with an expansion bolt. |
| 6. Press from internal space of the car outside a cable of management of gas. At the same time do not squeeze out the rubber plug. |
| 7. Remove a cable of management of gas in a set. |

Installation
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Grease a cable of management of gas between the directing element and a tip anticorrosive plastic lubricant like Mercedes-000 989 5110. |
| 2. Instruction: at vehicles with the automatic transmission the cable of management of gas is established in its fastening together with a spring (shooter). Thanks to it the way of the lever of a pedal increases and the opportunity of switching off of the switch of a pedal of an accelerator is given. |
| 3. Check the rubber plug (231) for damage or porosity, if necessary replace. |
| 4. Stretch a cable of management of gas in internal space of the car and suspend on the accelerator lever. Pick up a returnable spring. |
| 5. Mount a casing under the dashboard. |
| 6. Enter a cable of management of gas through an opening in a support, press on a support and record. |
| 7. 2,0 l engine: hang a cable of management of gas on the adjusting lever and record it by means of the directing detail (240). |
| 8. 2,2 / 2,5 l engine: press a cable of management of gas on a spherical head of the directing lever. |
| 9. Adjust a cable of management of gas. |
